Jump through files alphabetically regardless of sort order (mac).
Eye-Fi wireless memory card. How'd you like to have your pictures sent wirelessly to your computer as you take them. This would be great at house parties.

Most of the above links go to the sites on which I found these neat things. I was to lazy to make a bunch of 'via X' links.
OK, maybe not exacfly, but trust me... in person...

The latest issue of Heso magazine is out. My boy Ry is one of the contributors and an all around cool guy. You can check it out for yourself, tell me, who's not interested in Food and Sex?
Any of you arty types that are interested in contributing should go to their contact page.
I've been watching this guy's site for a couple of months now, and I like some of his pictures so much I figured I'd drive a little more traffic his way. The site's in Japanese.

I am the type of person who is fairly fanatical about my brand loyalty. I have bought multiple products (based on liking one) from Marmot, Mountain Hardwear, and Sony (back in the day). I was, therefore, disturbed that the folks over at Akihabara News don't much care for the Panasonic Lumix series. Their dispersion-casting is not enough to discount my personal feelings about the FZ10, but will give me something to think about when I get a new camera in a year or so.
There is a post at presentation zen that has a list of links to free and for-pay sources of images. Could be useful for those designing websites and/or presentations that will catch and keep he attention of students (or other audiences).
I got an email from Typepad the other day informing me that some of my data had been lost. I don't think that anything crucial is gone, just a couple of pics. I may reload them, but not for a while.
Last Sunday we met up for a little bbq in Baba at Chris and Yuki's place. The event was centered around the triumphant (if short) return of Alan and Melinda, who are en route to their new life in Oxford. To do my part in the festivities I wanted to make sure that w had some real beer and so I headed out to Fuchu to a place called Ken's. Beer House Ken is the closest place to my house that stocks Bryan's beer and I figured it was worth the trip to have some special suds. I was pleasantly surprised by this tiny place that had many great beers including Sam Smith's, Anchor Steam and a plethora of European selections.
Beer in hand bag we headed to Baba for a night of debauchery...
Last night we went on a Yakatabune cruise. The ship departed Shinagawa just after 6:00 and we returned around 8:30. The food was good if a little typical: sashimi, various things made into tempura, some noodles, sushi, tofu and miso soup. Terada-san and I were co-coordinators of the cruise and we had about 38 people, most of whom I at least know on sight from Terada-san's restaurant.
These pics don't really require a lot of commentary. We ate and laughed and drank and sang and danced together.
Back from Tsukuba and the Tsukuba express was a delight. Two hours door-to-door.
I somehow managed to lose my phone somewhere between the bbq and the Hirasuna sento; the irony is that I have recently started a Getting Things Done system to help improve my process and I was just starting to feel like I was getting it together and then I go and lose a crucial piece of my information processing puzzle. Taka is going to have a look around for it this morning and talk to the sento guy so I should have it back in a week or so.
Anyway, here are some pics.
So it seems that I have already used up my August allotment on Flickr. It was predictable, though, because I have been uploading the pics at close to full filesize rather than limiting them to a width of 640 pixels as I had been doing.
Anyway, here are the pics I would have sent to Flickr and/or would have put in an album here if I wasn't so lazy.

On my way to the Do-it-yourself place I noticed that there were some sentries posted next to a small parking lot. I took some pics of them on my way home.
Last night after English conversation class I wasn't sleepy so I took a bike ride along the Nogawa (river). Really nice paths for most of it, and noone around so I got in a good ride. Surprisingly there were almost no mosquitos. Must be because of the lack of rain we had this year.
I just got this picture from Todd. I'm not sure where to begin to comment.

We have had some righteous weather of late, and unfortunately I have been spending a lot of time in classrooms and my office. Since I finally fixed the brakes on the bike that I got from Mark, I think I'll head down to Yoyogi park and photograph some Earth Day hippies.
